In 1998 we started as a one man operation which provided very simple web design services throughout San Diego, CA. Our first clients where a surf board company which developed a cool surf board insert to allow surfers to keep their car keys with them! Then a local tax attorney, a metal forming shop, an ad agency which focused in the automotive and realty industry - and the ball kept rolling from there.
In 2000 the real team and partnership was formed between me (Chris Fialkowski) and my business partner Jorge Sauer. We had worked on a few projects together and had the opportunity to understand where the strengths and weaknesses were. We built NFY Interactive, Inc. and www.netfinity.net over the next 13 years, but a new San Diego web development firm was born. Our initial core industry was home building and land development. We had the opportunity to develop websites for more than 40 master planned communities throughout the country. Our clients included: Newland Communities, Lennar, Centex, Shea Homes, Trimark Pacific, Innovative Communities, Oakwood Development, Kane Development and many other home builders... Many of which are no longer here today due to the severe turn in the housing industry.
The home building industry provided more than enough work from 2000 through 2007. Our staff and technology offerings grew exponentially and we provided so many different web design and web development services, I often find old projects and remember - "Oh yeah, I forgot about that one". In 2007 we made a massive shift to continue to diversify the services and more importantly, our primary service markets.
There were a lot of steps and some awesome memories and the opportunity to work with some amazing clients, employees and vendors. Today, we have a few Fortune 100 clients and one in the top 5! We have expanded our services to and then narrowed them to focus on web design, web development, email marketing, online marketing and mobile application development. We are always looking for new opportunities to push our own ability and ultimately the threshold of technology. Otherwise - things would get boring, right!?
We are excited about 13 years of business and seeing where things are headed... Who knows - perhaps the sneak peak will include, an SMS system , QR Codes, Email system and more... For those of us who know us - we will always push to create something that ultimately provides a real genuine value to our clients.

Friday Wrap up... August 19th, 2011
It has been a pretty amazing week here in San Diego - the weather has been providing an amazing back drop to a relatively mild Summer. We have been very busy working on a few different web development projects as well as a very cool mobile application for the iPhone. Our team has really pushed the threshold of technology and consistently amaze me with their ability to create new and really functional ideas!
The rest of the month should prove to be very interesting... The iPhone mobile application is scheduled to go live in the app store on Wednesday of next week, we are finishing up the analytical charts for another project and are midway through a wellness assessment model. There are a few other projects - large and small that we should have launching in the next 6 weeks. I think we will see more go live in the coming 6 weeks vs. the previous 9 weeks.
Our focus has really begun to shift into web development. Our team has really shifted focus and the design oriented factor has not been a big role for our company. Much of this has to do with different ad agencies handling the design aspect of the web design project, then funneling design concepts through to our team for development. A good agency with a solid level of web-experience can really provide an awesome partner for this process - however, there are still print agencies out there who have taken on this new level of service and ultimately created more problems for the project overall due to the lack of understanding when it comes to the internet and web development.
We are really looking forward to the balance of August - we are bringing a few new jobs in this month from new clients and existing clients alike! Some are web design, some are web development and a few custom applications and email marketing campaigns. Looking forward to staying busy into the Fall and ultimately through the balance of the year.
Here is to 2011 - ripping by at a break neck pace.. In terms of technology - better keep up or you are likely to get run over!
